Japan Dreaming is a culmination of ideas, emotions and curiosities carried for years — an attempt to understand a place that had long existed in my imagination before I ever arrived there.
Moving through cities, stations, temples and side streets, the work became less about documenting Japan itself and more about atmosphere, movement, memory and the quiet emotional weight of finally experiencing somewhere once held at a distance.
